North Cyprus Stamps Paris 2024 Olympic Games (Olimpiyat Oyunlari)

The 2024 Summer Olympics, officially known as the Games of the XXXIII Olympiad and commonly referred to as Paris 2024, are scheduled to take place from 26 July to 11 August 2024 in France. Paris serves as the main host city, along with 16 other cities spread across Metropolitan France, as well as one additional site in Tahiti.

All medal winners will be invited to meet and celebrate with thousands of fans at Trocadero, in the heart of Paris.

The Olympic Games logo features Marianne, a national symbol representing the French Revolution’s motto of ‘Liberty, Equality, Fraternity.’ The golden hair draws inspiration from the Olympic medals, while the hairstyle itself evokes the Olympic flame.
The Olympic mascot takes the form of a Phrygian cap – a symbol of freedom throughout French history.

Sport climbing will be one of the four additional sports at Paris 2024, alongside breaking (making its Olympic debut), surfing and skateboarding. Skateboarding will take place at the Place de la Concorde in the heart of the French capital.

North Cyprus Stamps UEFA EURO 2024

Germany hosted the ‘2024 UEFA European Football Championship,’ commonly referred to as UEFA 2024 or simply Euro 2024. The tournament took place from 14 June to 14 July 2024.

Türkiye was the only other nation that bid to hold the Euro 2024 championship matches.

Spain came out as the Championship Trophy Winners, beating England with a score of 2 to 1.

The logo depicts the trophy with 24 coloured slices around it, representing the 24 participating nations. The ellipse shape reflects that of the Olympiastadion.

The official match ball of the tournament, ‘Fussballiebe’ (Love of Football), is the first ball for a UEFA European Championship to feature ‘Connected Ball Technology.’ It contains internal electronic sensors, allowing detection of its movement for UEFA match officials to use in any decision making.
